Separated by a river but share the same goal. Maynard and Whiteboro are both 100% volunteer fire departments that proudly put their lives on hold to answer a neighbor’s call for help.
Maynard Fire Department and Whitesboro Fire Department are part of a Mutal Aid, an agreement among emergency responders to lend assistance across jurisdictional boundaries. They are part the 6 departments in the Oneida County, New York.
Their passion pushed them to apply for a Safer Grant to help recruite like minded neighbors to volunteer for one of their departments.

As a volunteer member of the Maynard and Whitesboro Volunteer Fire Department, you will have the honor of serving your community in emergencies. Additionally, all members work with other highly trained, motivated, and dedicated volunteers and interact with numerous local, state, and national fire and rescue organizations, including the Firefighters Association of the State of New York (FASNY).
