Mutual aid is an agreement among emergency responders to lend assistance across jurisdictional boundaries.
More than that, it’s a common commitment from our partner agencies that they have our back and we have theirs when they need us most. We train together, we bond together, and we serve together. Maynard Fire Department and Whitesboro Fire Department are part of a standing mutual aid agreement between 6 departments in Oneida County, NY who call and count on each other for assistance whenever an emergency response such as a natural disaster or a multiple-alarm fire exceeds local resources.
6 Departments, 1 Calling
As a member of any of these six partner volunteer fire departments, you will have the honor of serving your community with like minded and committed individuals in an emergency. You’ll get to work with other highly trained, motivated, and dedicated volunteers across our county and interact with numerous local, state, and national fire and rescue organizations, including the Firefighters Association of the State of New York (FASNY).
Interested volunteers should bring a passion for the mission and a desire to make a difference. We invite you to join our team.
